This pilgrimage journey and walking retreat takes us on a route known as the Camino via Plata. After two days of connection and preparation in our stunning private mansion in the hillside above Ourense, we will then commence our Camino walking journey. Over the following seven days, we will travel through various villages, historical sites and stunning landscapes to arrive at the final destination of Santiago de Compostela, where we will spend our final two nights together.
This magical route covers around 110km and is regarded as not only one of the most beautiful and picturesque routes but is also a much less busy and quieter Camino path.
Along the way we will get to indulge in the delicious local cuisines of the area and stay in delightful and authentic Spanish homes, guest houses and villas.
This programme combines the deep facilitation practices of a transformational retreat with the enigmatic experience of the Camino's historical sacred pilgrimage. It will leave you recharged, reset and ready to return to life as the best version of yourself!

Detailed Agenda
OURENSE
SEP 16-18
We arrive to our exclusive private palace on the afternoon of September 16 in the hills above this important Roman-founded town. Complimentary transfers from Ourense train station ensure a smooth start to your retreat experience.
At our gate, deep in the wooded valley, is the ruins of one of the oldest monasteries in the world, founded in the late 500s.
Against this beautiful backdrop we will connect and prepare for our journey together through various practices, nature walks and reflection processes. During our time in Ourense we will share nourishing meals prepared by our private chef.
OURENSE TO CEA
SEP 18 - 22 KMS WALKING
We leave for our first day of Camino, crossing the Roman bridge over the Miño River. We pass through various sections of trail as we head into the forested valleys heading up to our destination, San Cristóbal de Cea.
Founded in Celtic times, Cea is one of just four geographically recognised bakery towns in Spain, with strict controls governing the quality of the famous 'pan de Cea.'
Our lodgings tonight are in the highest-rated guesthouse in the middle of town, newly renovated in a traditional stone building. Your luggage will be waiting for you, with plenty of space to stretch out. There will be ample time to gather, reflect and share our experiences over a hearty local dinner.
CEA TO DOZON
SEP 19 - 18 KMS WALKING
Today's stage takes us through the most mountainous, green and rural part of Galicia.
There are many opportunities to visit off-the-track sights along the Camino, and one of the major ones will be the Monastery of Oseira, located in a magnificent natural environment. The huge monastery was founded by Benedictine monks in the 12th century, and still houses a small number of Cistercian monks today.
After reaching Dozon we will decamp to an authentic 'Pazo' (country manor) for the night, where we will enjoy a facilitated retreat exercise in the beautiful grounds.
DOZON TO LALIN
SEP 20 - 18 KMS WALKING
Most of today's hiking is steadily downhill, winding through villages and a range of path types in the remote Galician countryside. We will embrace the opportunity to hike in silence together during this stage of the journey. The concept of 'noble silence' allows for a deeper contemplative state.
After some solid days of walking, we have planned a special change of pace for the afternoon as we check into a modern spa hotel where you get to enjoy a well-deserved massage and spa experience.
During the evening we will connect and share in a guided process, reflecting on our intentions and Camino experiences to date.
LALIN TO SILLEDA
SEP 21 - 14 KMS WALKING
We will enjoy an easier walking day today, with a shorter overall distance over varied terrain as we move between the remote countryside and more established towns.
We arrive in Silleda in time for lunch at the stunning rural homestead we will call home for the night.
Afternoon and evening activities will be offered as we weave together our individual and collective stories.
SILLEDA TO PONTE ULLA
SEP 22 - 20 KMS WALKING
Another beautiful day of walking through forests, alongside rivers, meandering between calm and busy landscapes.
On the way to Ponte Ulla we will explore multiple historical landmarks and villages, before arriving at our destination for the evening, a cosy tavern in the small village alongside the Ulla river.
Tonight, our final evening before entering Santiago de Compostela, we continue our retreat practices and solo contemplation on our journeys.
PONTE ULLA TO SANTIAGO DE COMPOSTELA
SEP 23 - 21 KMS WALKING
SEP 23-25 IN RETREAT RESIDENCE
Our final day of distance hiking leads us to the gates of the city, and the official end of the Camino pilgrimage part of the journey.
We will have completed over 100kms on this Camino, meaning you will have qualified for an official Certificate issued in Santiago.
After exploring this incredible historical town at leisure, we will regroup later in the day at our exclusive country house where we will be supported by an amazing private chef as we spend another full day together on the transformational retreat programme, synthesising the experiences of the last week of hiking and contemplation.
